The California Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy
Welcome to AABE California!
The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is a national association of energy professionals founded and dedicated to ensure the input of African Americans and other minorities into the discussions and developments of energy policies regulations, R&D technologies, and environmental issues.
Minority professionals in all energy sectors (oil, gas, electricity, nuclear, renewables, government, technology, energy services and water) are encouraged to join and contribute to the broad energy diaspora within the Chapter. Additionally, College students at accredited institutions studying energy-related fields are encouraged to join and participate.
The purpose of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE®) California Chapter is to participate in the formation of local, state, and national energy initiatives, energy initiatives, legislation, policies and programs, and industry trends that impact African-Americans and other minorities, and encourage networking and collaboration in energy-related occupations or occupations which contribute or partner with the energy industry.
The American Association of Blacks in Energy is a professional organization of African Americans in the energy industry. Through its Scholarship Program, AABE seeks to help increase the number of African Americans, Hispanics and Native Americans (underrepresented minorities) in energy related fields. By doing so, we help our nation address a critical need and a challenge to our future economic vitality in the world market.
